Our third ski camp group is already on their way home from Austria, where they spent several memorable days in the stunning Großglockner ski region. The Großglockner Resort Kals–Matrei in East Tyrol is one of Austria’s special ski areas: it lies among the mountains of the Hohe Tauern National Park and, with slopes reaching up to over 2,400 meters, modern lifts, and around 40–45 kilometers of ski runs, it offers ideal terrain for both beginner and advanced skiers. From the slopes, there is a breathtaking panorama of the Alps and the surrounding peaks, including the 3,798-meter-high Großglockner.
The camp was not only a sporting experience for the participants but also a real community experience. The days spent together, learning on the slopes, evening conversations, and shared programs all contributed to helping the students get to know each other better. These shared experiences become lasting memories that strengthen the sense of belonging in the long term.
Skiing also improves endurance, balance, and coordination, while physical activity in the fresh mountain air supports both physical and mental rejuvenation. The ski camp therefore not only provides an opportunity for sport but also contributes to the students’ active lifestyle and to the development of their perseverance and self-confidence.
